What is Roigle?
Roigle is an independent news outlet for the Cameroonian diaspora in Europe and worldwide. We cover news, sport, business, culture and the practical side of diaspora life: remittances, investing in Cameroon, visas and work.
Is Roigle free?
Yes. Every article, live radio stream and podcast is free, with no subscription. Creating an account is optional: it only serves to save articles and tailor your feed.
How do I listen to Cameroonian radio live?
Go to the Radio page: the available stations are listed there and playback starts straight in your browser, with nothing to install. It works on a phone too.
Can I install Roigle as an app?
Yes. Roigle is a progressive web app: from your mobile browser, choose “Add to Home Screen”. It installs without going through an app store and works partly offline.
Which languages is Roigle available in?
Roigle is published in French and English, Cameroon’s two official languages. The language switcher sits in the menu; each translated article links to its counterpart.
How do I pitch an article or send in a tip?
Write to us from the Contact page. Contributions from the diaspora are welcome: first-hand accounts, analysis and tips are reviewed by the newsroom before publication.
How do I report a mistake in an article?
Write to us via the Contact page, giving the article title and the correction needed. Any confirmed error is fixed and, where it concerns a material fact, flagged at the foot of the article.
How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Unsubscribing takes effect at once; you can subscribe again at any time from the Newsletters page.
Does Roigle use my personal data?
We collect the minimum the site needs to work. No data is sold on. The detail is set out in our privacy policy, and you can request deletion of your data from the Right to be forgotten page.
How do I advertise on Roigle?
Our advertising team can be reached from the Advertising page. We offer display formats, clearly labelled sponsored content, and campaigns targeted by diaspora country of residence.
