Working at Roigle
We are building the reference outlet for the Cameroonian diaspora. Here are the profiles we look for, and how to reach us.
Who we are
Roigle is a small, distributed team spread between Europe and Cameroon. We work remotely, with one simple aim: to serve a diaspora that lacks reliable, up-to-date reporting written for it.
The profiles we look for
Journalists
Reporters, columnists and freelancers covering Cameroon, the diaspora and international affairs. First-hand knowledge of Cameroon counts for a great deal.
Engineering
Front-end (Nuxt, Vue) and back-end (Node, Strapi) engineers to grow the platform, its speed and its accessibility.
Design and product
Interface designers and product people who care about legibility and mobile use, which dominates our audience.
Advertising and partnerships
Commercial profiles to grow advertising revenue and partnerships with diaspora businesses.
Speculative applications
We do not always have an open role, but we read every application. Write to us from the Contact page, saying which area interests you, with a CV and, for editorial profiles, two or three representative pieces.
No need for a formal cover letter: tell us in a few lines why this project appeals to you.
One-off contributions
You can also contribute without joining the team: first-hand accounts, analysis and opinion pieces from diaspora members are welcome and published after review by the newsroom.
